Yes, 10th Ave E paving is done, no, parking rules haven’t changed, and more important tavern news

Brief update on our post noting the end of construction along the stretch of 10th Ave East that has been repaved and “improved” for pedestrians over the past several weeks. SDOT confirms that, yes, there will be no more long detours and the work is done save the painting of a few crosswalks and “stop bars” along the way. As for the questions raised on CHS about the possible change to parking rules in the area, SDOT says there’s nothing new about the 4 to 6 PM “no parking” zone and that it was there well before the paving work. Those restrictions and the sharrow lanes were part of the Bike Master Plan established way back in 2008.

So there.

In more important news, the Roanoke Park Place Tavernhas finally signed a lease and will be on 10th Ave East for the next 10,000 years:

We’re also hearing rumors of a possible “soft opening” for one of the new neighbors on the block down Roanoke Park way. Have fun.
