Man carrying suspicious bottles spooks Broadway light rail construction crew

Police were searching for a man Tuesday afternoon after he spooked the work crew at the Broadway light rail station construction site who said they saw what appeared to be Molotov cocktails being carried by the man as he asked questions about the site’s security.

In the exchange just after 2 PM on Tuesday, a worker from the site said the man came to the East John entrance to the work site and asked for details about security at the Sound Transit construction. He was carrying multiple bottles filled with an unidentified liquid and with rags sticking out of the tops, the worker told police.

Witnesses said the man left the site and headed north on 10th Ave. The man was described as a white male, in his late 40s, around 5’10” with thin build and wearing a Seahawks windbreaker and blue jeans. And, presumably, carrying an unspecified number of bottles.

Police searched the area for the man but were not successful.

The work crews better get used to working on the hill cause they are going to be seeing a lot of “suspicious” characters. LOL
