With police investigating a more serious allegation against a cab driver who is alleged to have sexually assaulted a Seattle U student, here is another cab related assault report — but this one has less serious consequences. SeattleCrime has the details on this recent Sunday morning tussle that went down outside the 23rd and Madison Safeway. The question, of course, was what beer was in the growler:
When the cab stopped to drop the woman off at 23rd and Madison, she realized she had lost her wallet and told the cab driver she couldn’t pay the fare.
The woman told police the cab driver about her predicament, and he apparently (and understandably) got angry.
The woman told police the cab driver’s actions frightened her, ad she tried to get out of the back seat of the cab.
The driver then reached in the back seat and grabbed at a growler of beer the woman was carrying.
The woman struggled with the driver, who wrestled the growler away from her.
I don’t see anything wrong with this? She probably owed him more than the beer was worth. Why would she call the police?
Good for him! I would’ve taken her damn beer too! I’d need it after that scale of rip-offery! This is a taxi, not a bus! And she had the nerve to call the police! I pity da damn fool!
Hmmm, first a big, brown beaver and now a growler?
Can this be a coincidence?
