Cops bust 15th Ave car prowl suspect

Seattle Police hauled in a car prowling suspect Saturday afternoon thanks to a 911 call from a witness who said the man was trying to break into cars in the parking garage of the Pearl Apartments:

On May 28th at approximately 3:23 p.m. officers responded to a 911 call of a car prowl to a vehicle in a garage in the 1500 block of 15th Avenue.  A witness provided officers with a detailed suspect description and direction of travel. 

Officers conducting an area search located and detained the suspect.  The witness was able to positively identify the suspect and the suspect was subsequently placed under arrest. 

Officers recovered a knife and a screw driver off of the suspect which were photographed and placed into evidence.  

The 50-year-old male suspect was booked into the King County Jail for Car Prowling.
