It’s expected to be warm and partly cloudy at the next Capitol Hill community meeting you should attend. We don’t often include weather updates in meeting notices but the second session to discuss an $800,000 overhaul of the Volunteer Park playground will be held in the perfect location for people to fully analyze the opportunity: at the play area itself.
Parks is compiling feedback from their recent survey on community wants for the new playground and the comments collected at the June meeting to form play area concepts for the renovation and present them at Wednesday’s meeting. We reported earlier on some of the options being considered. Kids are highly encouraged to attend the Wednesday night session.
This weekend, don’t forget the green space will be host to the first weekend of Shakespeare in the Park.
