As if moving isn’t stressful enough, one Capitol Hill man in the process of moving out a house near 12th and E John returned to find a burglar rummaging through his stuff inside. He gave chase, but the suspect got away, according to police.
On August 5th at approximately 11:48 p.m. officers responded to the report of a burglary in the 1200 block of East John Street. Preliminary investigation indicates that the male victim was moving out of his house and upon a return to the home, after placing property in his car, he found an adult male suspect going through his belongings inside the house.
The suspect fled northbound on foot with the victim in pursuit. The suspect met up with a second subject near the end of the block and both continued northbound on foot. The victim discontinued the pursuit and returned to his house. Responding officers conducted an area check however, the suspect remains at large.
The primary suspect is described as a white male in his 30′s, 5’8″ tall with short brown hair and a small build. He was last seen wearing a red shirt with black and white striped shorts.
The second subject is described as a white male in his 30′s, 6’2″ tall with a medium build and short black hair. He was last seen wearing black and white striped shorts.
I have a photo of a guy I caught red-handed a while ago that fits the description of the first suspect and the police that showed up said they know him. I later saw QFC stopping him as he was shoplifting.
Is there some way to share my photo?
