Skittish and lost, have you seen this Capitol Hill sheepdog?

It’s been a bit of a bummer day with all sorts of unsavory news — hopefully we can brighten things up by helping bring this smiley fellow home. Summer means lots of lost pet posters on Capitol Hill. But every now and then a campaign to find a lost animal takes on a larger scale. Here’s a note we received from neighbor Kenneth:

From Pine to Denny, along Boylston I try to pick up trash on the weekends as well as up and down Howell from Harvard to Belmont…  Normally, I pick up down or discarded electrical pole postings but haven’t touched the below downed postings as lost dog stories always touch my too emotional heart. They are large, bright green, posters that have been up for a couple of weeks about a lost dog, something along the lines “skittish, do not approach.”  Contact 321-7021 (if I remember correctly).  There hasn’t been any postings but do you know if this particular dog was found or have you heard anything about it?

We’re sad to say, no, the fluffy sheepdog hasn’t been found (there’s that bummer day again). But CHS talked to John who is still searching for the dog he was petsitting when it ran off three weeks ago — last seen heading south on northbound I-5 of all places. John said the dog wasn’t found in the road and there weren’t reports that it had been hit — instead, he thinks the sheepdog took the Olive ramp near where it was last seen that July 22nd.

The posters are for the same pooch posted about in this CHS Lost & Found classified. If you have any information to share, you can call  (206) 427-3303 or (206) 321-7021.
