Small changes on 14th Ave, too, as dentist plans to move in with Henry’s Antiques

On Tuesday, we told you about some big changes planned for the street. Well, here’s a smaller — but still important — change coming to another part of 14th Ave.

The vigilant may have noticed “MOVING SALE” signs up at Henry’s Antiques across the street from the E John Safeway. The good news for friends of the local antiquers is that Henry’s isn’t going that far — it’s moving downstairs. Taking its place upstairs, according to filings with the city and they guys at Henrys’s, Dr. Wendell G. Beck, DMD.

We haven’t been able to reach the dentist to find out about his plans for his new Capitol Hill office but we do know he previously worked out of a clinic in West Seattle’s High Point neighborhood.

As for Henry’s, they plan to continue running the store — though we’re told there will be less room for large items so you won’t find any grandfather clocks or grand pianos in their stock.

While we’re talking 14th Ave change, don’t forget Regent Bakery & Cafe is also slated to join the street after build-out of the former Online Coffee location at 14th and Pine is complete.
