What was going on with Saturday night’s big north Capitol Hill police response

There were numerous mentions on Twitter and Facebook after a rapid and large police response was spotted streaming north on Broadway and 10th Ave E just after 9p Saturday night. We usually try to get the word out quick in a situation like that as we learn details of what is happening. Sorry that last night that we didn’t have more to share as we collected information. We’ve learned the response was to Harvard Ave E along I-5 where medics had responded to a report that a man was attempting to overdose on pills. We haven’t confirmed what precipitated it but a fast back-up call went out which usually indicates some kind of potential threat to an officer.

The man was transported to Harborview. We don’t have any updates on his condition.

CHS respects the sensitivity of covering suicide and attempts to cover these stories by sharing the facts in a responsible manner that provides information about what is happening on the streets and in the community around you. Here are two resources to help those in need: National suicide-prevention hotline: 800-SUICIDE. Local Crisis Clinic: (206) 461-3222.

I’ve always admired the tear-assing of the lawn beneath the Crescent in Bath, England.

I was wondering if this would show up anywhere.. I heading north on Broadway and I lost count around 7 cars that passed me as I pulled over. I think they all turned left on Highland Dr.

All that showed up on seattlecrime was “Medic Response” so – that was a bit confusing.

i’m assuming they meant either hauling ass, or tearing up, but tear-assing up is definitely wrong

1. tearing ass
acting/moving in a terribly hurried, aggressive manner; recklessly but sufficiently performing/completing a task; hauling ass
Yeah these guys are really tearing ass through that guitar solo.

The convict escaped and the police providing resistance watched him tear ass across the penitentiary’s front lawn.

I would argue tearing ass is one thing but tear assing takes on a whole new meaning. It sounds uncomfortable.
