Capitol Hill creative agency Creature is giving people free haircuts today on 12th Ave because, well, they can.

“We wanted to do something fun for Capitol Hill, something with that window,” Creature’s Christine Ogborn told CHS about the transformation of the Ballou Wright building’s ground level windows into a vintage style barbershop.

Whitney Henderson of Pacific Place’s Seven Salon provided the hair crafting expertise.

Creature recently moved around the corner from 10th and Pike to the building on 12th that also houses a collection of local start-ups.

It’s not the first time the agency has toyed with community marketing opportunities. In 2009, we reported on a plan for Creature to create a giant mural in Pike/Pine. That plan never came to fruition. But on Friday, hair was falling to the floor with each snip.
