Little Uncle ready for debut in new (fixed-place) Capitol Hill home

In the next phase of a nomadic life as a pop-up and farmers market vendor, Little Uncle is ready for a little permanence. The Thai walk-up is debuting this Tuesday before Christmas in its new home at 1509 E Madison. We wrote about the Poncharee Kounpungchart and Wiley Frank project taking over the former Baguette space here back in mid-November. They’ve hit their goal of a December opening in the new space. Hours are limited — 11a-2p — and they’re running cash only for now. More information at littleuncleseattle.com. Premier menu is below as is pretty fantastic map cooked up by the Uncle folks to document parking options near the walk-up.

If you’re in the mood and the window of availability doesn’t work for you, don’t forget that the number of high quality Thai walk-ups along this stretch of Madison just doubled. “Old timer” Thai Curry Simple is at 12th and Madison.
