Miller Community Center needs you!

Activities and programs at Seattle’s Community Centers are overseen by volunteer Advisory Councils, under the umbrella of ARC (the Associated Recreation Council).

The Advisory Council at our Capitol Hill Center (Miller Community Center) has been robust and very active in the past, but dwindled recently to a couple of people.

I’ve recently rejoined the Council, having taken a leave during my late wife’s illness, and was promptly appointed the “acting chairman” of the Council.

Please consider joining us on the Advisory Council, to help run our Center and to keep it available as a fun and welcoming home for the young kids, older kids, youth, adults and seniors of our neighborhood.  The minimum commitment is a couple of hours a month.

Easiest way to find out more is to come to the next Advisory Council meeting, 6:30 to 8 PM on this coming Tuesday, April 3rd, at Miller Community Center, 330 – 19th Avenue East. For more details contact the Center Coordinator, Lori Van Norman ( [email protected], 206-684-4753 )

Many thanks, Andrew Taylor
