Police blocked streets in Montlake and searched for a suspect involved in what has been described as a shooting incident Monday afternoon at the University Bookstore.
Police pursued a black Audi spotted last in the Montlake area. Via the SPD twitter account, officials asked that the public stay out of the area. UPDATE: The driver left the Montlake area with police in pursuit in what is described as a heavily damaged black Audi. Police report the man was taken into custody after a short vehicle chase.
There are no reports of injuries from the incident. The search for the suspect began playing out shortly after 2 PM.
Meanwhile, a man with a gun was also arrested near the same time following a large police response to the Bank of America in the 600 block of Broadway E. We do not yet have details on what transpired but according to police radio, a man with a gun was arrested at the scene. There were no reported injuries.
