Motorcyclist injured in collision with minivan at Republican and Bellevue

[mappress mapid=”18″]Preliminary reports indicate that the rider in a minivan vs. motorcycle collision at E Republican and Bellevue Ave E Wednesday night did not suffer serious injuries in the crash.

We’re still tracking down details of the incident reported to Seattle Fire just before 6:15 PM. Following a large medic response, the rider was eventually transported to the hospital by private ambulance service AMR indicating a non-life threatening situation.

Police remained at the intersection following the medical response interviewing the van’s driver, according to witness reports. The intersection was reopened by 7 PM.

UPDATE: Seattle Fire confirms that the male rider was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

I dislike crossing Bellevue as too many people drive too fast. Glad nothing serious this time.

Anything to do with the construction halfway down that block that frequently blocks half the road and doesn’t have flaggers out?

No, the construction stops at 5. They start at 7 a.m..
