- Man not stabbed in Cal Anderson Park: Initial reports of a man found stabbed in Cal Anderson Park Thursday night quickly deescalated after police found the man had only fallen and scraped up his legs hours earlier. Police initially filled Cal Anderson after a 911 caller said a man he found in the park around 8:20 PM had apparently been stabbed. As officers arrived, they sorted out the less dramatic details of an incident that, fortunately, will not join the list of recent violence around the park.
- 12th/John crowbar attack: A man suffered a possible broken arm in an attack at 12th and John Tuesday night just before 8 PM. According the SPD report on the incident which is being investigated as an armed robbery, the assailant used a crowbar to attack the victim:
