What are the biggest differences of first opening Joe Bar to being a seasoned business owner after many years?
Joe Bar has been in existence since 1997. Cell phones were rare, laptops even more so, no one had wifi and cash was king. NASA hadn’t even landed a rover on Mars yet! I guess Joe Bar is old enough now to reminisce about simpler times. One thing that hasn’t changed is the underlying character of the neighborhood and the importance of community that permeates it. This doesn’t answer your question but it is the part of owning Joe Bar that makes me the happiest.
Joe Bar is located at 810 E Roy St.

And what is the dog’s name? Dogs are hillebrities too.
His name is Moses & he’s totally a hillebrity for sure!
Yes, what an amazing fluffy dog!
Can we get a whole profile on Moses? I see him every day going to Joe Bar. What kind of dog is he? How did he get to be such a good dog?
“One thing that hasn’t changed is the underlying character of the neighborhood and the importance of community that permeates it.” Great quote, great bio – nice work Timothy!
Joe Bar is a treasure. I almost don’t want to attract attention to it. As high rents and shitty chains gobble up the rest of the Hill, Joe Bar is one the few vestiges of community, integrity, and character left. The staff is amazing, the food is great, plus they have awesome wine and beer – like Blanche De Bruxelles. You should go.
