I support Sue Peters for Seattle School Board for many reasons after I worked with her on the “No on I-1240” campaign against charter (corporate) schools. Besides her intelligence as a Stanford graduate, she knows the Seattle School Board exactly like parents would want a school board member to know it. Her involvement over 10+ years has been genuine, unwavering and long standing as a fighter for public education. Sue Peters lives and breathes public education for the right reasons, our children. Why else would she serve on both the Superintendent Search Committee and the 2013 Strategic Plan Task Force? One of many things that impress me about Peters is that for the past 5 years; she used her time as a mother and an educational advocate to fully study educational policy at local and national levels. Sue is ready to take on pressing issues around capacity planning, program placement and curriculum adoption right out of the gate! She will work hard with board members as most already support her fully. Peters has earned hearty endorsements from Legislative Districts to King County Democrats and community leaders, but most impressive, Diane Ravitch (Seattle Education Association, former U.S. Secretary of State). If you don’t want your child’s education to be bought and “sold-out”, vote Sue Peters for Seattle School Board!

Thank you for your vote,
