CHS Pics | Hilloween 2013 from the trick-or-treat hot zone to Pike/Pine

IMG_7360IMG_7397Maybe in the same way that Thursday night has become the new Friday night or just because of the amount of steam people blew off between the weekend and Halloween night, Hilloween 2013’s October 31st celebration seemed like a more chill version of the neighborhood’s annual explosion of dress-up fun. Maybe the clogged roadways around Seattle cut down on visitors — though the trick-or-treat hot zone around 16th and Aloha was as crowded as ever. Maybe CHS has just been doing this too long. We can’t say what hyped excitements were going on inside the clubs, however.

Halloween Trick Or Treating in Capitol Hill, SeattleWe do know what was happening inside the houses near the trick-or-treat epicenter — we heard from a few houses that went through enough candy for 2,000 visitors last year and were exceeding that pace in 2013.

The night was comfortable and, for a change, drizzle free. The costume, as usual, were inspired. Here’s a look at Capitol Hill’s latest Halloween celebration from the little ones on parade on 16th Ave E to the big ones letting it all hang out at Pike and Broadway. We’ll add more as we get them. We’re also posting more on the CHS Facebook page. Let us know what you saw in comments.
