Blotter | Capitol Hill traffic stop nets suspect in Spokane murder and kidnap case

  • Kidnap suspect arrest: An East Precinct cop’s Wednesday afternoon traffic stop on 12th Ave netted a fugitive wanted in connection with a Spokane murder and kidnapping investigation. Jenny K. Rogers was booked into King County Jail for investigation of vehicle theft and kidnapping following the 4:15 PM stop of an Impala she was driving near 12th and Union. Spokane police were searching for Rogers in connection with this February murder:
    Screen Shot 2014-03-12 at 10.15.37 PMPolice said Rogers allegedly put duct tape over the girlfriend’s mouth and put her in a room. The girlfriend claimed that she hobbled into the living room about 30 minutes later.  She said the two other women were cleaning blood from the floor and walls according to her interview. Police said one of those women was allegedly Rogers.
    Rogers was taken into custody without incident as several police units responded to the scene. Spokane police have already made several other arrests of suspects involved in the case.
