Blotter | Suspect armed with ferret, pepper spray arrested for officer assault

  • Ferret assault: A Capitol Hill area resident who caused a stir by walking the streets armed with both a ferret and pepper spray was arrested Saturday night for a serious, felony offense. According to the SPD report on the incident and police radio dispatches, police were called to 12th Ave’s Tavern Law just before 8 PM to a call that the ferret man was making threats:

When contacted by an officer, the man pointed his pepper spray but was quickly disarmed, according to the SPD report. The suspect was arrested for felony assault of an officer and also could face harassment charges.
