On the List | Modern Day Saints at the Capitol Hill Art Walk, Central Area Block Party, 15th Ave E Sidewalk Fest

11896088_1631299313807259_7204811461552313403_nThis weekend’s events will take you from the galleries and art shows of Pike/Pine to neighborhood gatherings in the Central District and on 15th Ave E. Climb in.

Thursday brings the September edition of the Capitol Hill Art Walk. The highlight this month just might be a series of portraits planned to hang at venues across the Hill featuring “Modern Day Saints” from artists Barbara Trentalange and Kamilla Chaudhery. The opening party is at Cupcake Royale during Thursday night’s walk:

The Central District will host Seattle Summer Parkways on Saturday, September 12 from 11 AM to 3 PM. Three miles of roads will be shut off to cars and opened to recreational use in a showcase of the nearly-complete Central Area Neighborhood Greenway on 25th Ave/Ave S. Live music and activities will be taking place at Judkins Park, Pratt Park, Garfield Playfields and Powell Barnett Park.
