Blotter | Victim says car hit by errant gunfire in Central District

  • Central District gunfire: Police were investigating early Friday morning after a 911 caller reported that the car she was in near 20th and Jefferson was struck by apparently errant gunfire. Several 911 callers reported the shots just before 1 AM. The victim in the incident told police her car was struck but that she didn’t see who fired the shots.

  • Little Saigon robbery: An armed robbery in which one victim was struck in the head reportedly by a hammer drew police to the area around 12th and Jackson but there were no arrests in the early morning Friday crime. Police were called to a business at 12th and Jackson just after 1 AM following a robbery earlier in the night. Police were told there were two suspects involved in the robbery and that one struck a victim in the head with a heavy item described as a hammer. A search of the nearby area was not immediately successful.
  • Cop bitten at Dick’s: Police swarmed to Dick’s Broadway Tuesday afternoon to assist an officer bitten by a man who had been reportedly threatening an employee at the popular fast food joint. In the just before 2 PM incident, the injured officer put out an emergency call for assistance, prompting the large police response. Seattle Fire was called to the scene to treat the officer for a bite to the hand. The suspect was taken into custody.
  • Indecent exposure arrest: Seattle PI has details on Monday’s felony indecent exposure arrest at Seattle Central:
    Seattle police arrested a man Monday with a history of indecent exposure after two Seattle Central College students reported he masturbated while staring at them at the school, reports say.
