On the List | Hilloween, Zombie Crawl, LitCrawl, Pike People Street, Weavers’ Guild sale

As usual, it will be difficult to sort out just exactly when Halloween begins and ends around Capitol Hill. With October 31st falling on a Monday, the party starts early and will likely run for days. Below, you’ll find highlights below from the CHS Hilloween Calendar including the return of the annual Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce carnival, a new Zombie Crawl. There are also plenty of none-Hilloween things to do on the plain ol’ CHS Calendar including Thursday’s return of LitCrawl Seattle and the annual Seattle Weavers’ Guild sale at St. Mark’s.Plan ahead for Saturday’s fun for kids….

Saturday also brings the rescheduled daytime test of the Pike People Street concept:

Pike People Street Hilloween Edition

Saturday night, Mollie Bryan, producer of the Lusio festival which filled Volunteer Park with light art this July, is launching a new series of events at the park’s conservatory with a Halloween edition. The Sylvan Series debuts with Eldritch on October 29th:

el·dritch / ˈeldriCH
adjective
“weird and sinister or ghostly”

We’re bringing in Monster Planet to create live showcase of the delightfully weird. Monster Planet is an ever-expanding collective of producers, musicians, sound designers, visual artists, and B-movie enthusiasts who create a live improvisational experience of sounds and video made from a plethors of modulars, synths, and whatever else they can fit on the table. Located in the Seasonal House, their weird sounds and spooky visuals will be setting the tone for the entire event.
