Broadway merchant windows have been tagged for the holidays. You can thank the Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce and the Broadway Business Improvement Area. Over the weekend, groups of Girl Scouts teamed up with artists from from Urban Artworks to decorate Broadway businesses with some seasonally appropriate art. You can now enjoy “Penguinville,” for example, on the windows of the Seattle Central activities center.
Revival, Witness, the Broadway Market, Homestreet Bank, the Deluxe, Rocketfizz, Perfect Copy and Print, and Lifelong Thrift also got the treatment. The merchant murals join light-wrapped trees in adding to the holiday feel along Broadway. There is more to come.
This weekend will bring street musicians and the caroling Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence of the Abbey of St. Joan to Lifelong Thrift on Saturday, December 17th from 1 to 4 PM. Meanwhile, Santa will be down the street at Homestreet for “Alternative Pics with Santa” on both Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 PM. You can learn more on the Holiday Cheer on Broadway event page.
