Capitol Hill Pets | Dora, the Chinese Crested Brazilian comfort dog of Pike/Pine

Dora Miss ‘Merica is a “Chinese Crested Powder Puff Mini” that is often carried around Capitol Hill by Travis, “The Waxing Diva” who runs Salon DEWI just down the street from Cafe Pettirosso where we found the pair getting their morning coffee. Dora is super “comforting” which might be nice as Travis specializes in Brazilians. Give Dora a pet next time you get waxed.

We ask photographer Alex Garland to follow marchers in the rain and do crazy things like trying to make yet another picture of yet another huge apartment building look interesting. We thought we’d ask him to do something a little more fun. Capitol Hill Pets is a semi-regular look at our furry, fuzzy, feathered, and finned friends found out and about on Capitol Hill.

  1. DORA IS A DOLL!!
I’ve been going to see Travis at Salon Dewi for nearly two decades (not for just the famous waxing but awesome facials) – Dora is the sweetest addition!
