• Roy Street Commons standoff: Police closed off the area around Roy Street Commons in the 600 block of 12th Ave E Friday night after a report of a gun found inside the Airbnb guest house led to a standoff with a wanted man believed to be inside the building. According to East Precinct radio reports and witnesses, the building was surrounded by police for hours on the holiday weekend Friday night with guests arriving at the apartment style building exempted to allow only short-term rental being turned away during the standoff. We’re still sorting out when the incident drew to a close after midnight and any details on an arrest. Guests were allowed back into the building by Saturday morning where one guest reported his backpack had been stolen at some point following the standoff.
• Broadway video game boost: A burglar made a major mess and *nearly* made off with more than $9,000 worth of gaming consoles in a Thanksgiving week break-in at the Broadway Game Stop. According to the SPD report on the rip-off, surveillance video shows a gloved suspect with a hoody covering his face trashing the store and tossing around merchandise during the just before 4 AM burglary at the store in the 1600 block of Broadway. But the big score was apparently out of reach. Police found a pile of 29 video game consoles stacked in a hallway near a pried-open exit door behind the shop:
  Though the game consoles were recovered, it wasn’t clear how many items may have been taken from the store. Detectives are investigating the break-in but don’t have much to go on beyond a two-by-four found at the scene left to pry a door open and the video of the hooded figure and his green backpack.
• Meany scare: Students and parents at Capitol Hill’s Meany Middle School were turned away from the campus the morning of Wednesday, November 21st as police responded to a reported disturbance between two workers involving a knife inside the campus cafeteria. Police locked the school down just after 8:30 AM as they responded to what was later described as a “personal disturbance” between the workers. Police took at least two people into custody including a female suspect in her 50s who reportedly had been brandishing a wide kitchen knife. There were no reported injuries.
• Scooter crash: A motorscooter rider was injured after crashing on the First Hill Streetcar tracks at Pike at Broadway Tuesday night. Seattle Fire and Seattle Police closed the intersection to traffic during the response around 7:20 PM. The rider’s injuries required her to be taken to the hospital but were not life threatening, according to SFD.
• Pike/Pine phone grab: Police investigated a late Saturday night phone grab on 11th Ave near Union after a man said he was robbed while out walking his dog:
  Police searched the area after the just before midnight mugging but there were no arrests and the phone was not recovered.
• 17th/Madison purse grab: Police investigated a noontime purse snatch robbery near 17th and Madison on Tuesday, November 13th:
  There were no injuries and no arrests.
