Police say a man acquitted in a 2018 Seattle University shooting and bomb threat case taken into custody Thursday afternoon in a Capitol Hill traffic stop is suspected in the death of a woman found shot to death early Thursday morning in Seward Park.
Police say they took Bryson Morgan, 23, into custody Thursday after a 4 AM traffic stop near 17th and Madison. UPDATE: We’ve corrected the time of arrest from 4 PM to 4 AM.
Morgan has not been charged. He was booked into King County Jail Thursday night for investigation of homicide.
According to SPD, a jogger found the unresponsive woman around 5:30 AM Thursday near Lake Washington Blvd S and S Orcas. The death is still under investigation but police say she had been shot twice in the head.
According to police, Morgan was found “unresponsive” behind the wheel with what appeared to be blood on his hands and in the vehicle at 17th and Madison around 4 AM:
Police say they recovered a 9mm handgun, two fired rounds, and a live round from the car.
Morgan was charged in 2018 with felony harassment and threats after students alleged he made threats to shoot and bomb the campus, causing his classroom to flee. The incident happened the same day as a deadly school shooting in Santa Fe.
Morgan was later acquitted of the charges as his lawyers argued his statements were hypotheticals about the possibility of shooting people and not specific threats to the campus. Morgan was also the subject of an Extreme Risk Protection Order requested by SPD requiring him to prove to the court he no longer had access to firearms.
Police records at the time indicated that Morgan was a Capitol Hill resident. He provided a West Queen Anne address to police when taken into custody in the E Madison traffic stop.

Sounds like Bryson may have been the benefit of some Whyte Privilege. Of course those threats 2 years ago were not serious.
Maybe if they took his threats seriously, this poor person would still be alive today.
I knew the victim personally and cannot tell you how much this pained me to find out. She was such a sweet person who was just learning how to cope with the transistion of adulthood. She had potential to do so much and this scum had to take it away from her.
