Gunfire rang out Friday morning near 22nd and Madison in what Seattle Police say appears to have been a dispute between a restaurant delivery driver and a customer fighting over the temperature of her meal.
911 callers reported the single shot around 10:15 AM Friday in the street at 22nd Ave and Madison near the neighborhood’s Safeway. Witnesses described a male who pulled out a gun during a dispute with a woman and then fired a shot into the air before speeding away in a dark colored BMW SUV.
According to police, the victim told officers she “got into a verbal argument with her Doordash driver over the temperature of her food.” Police say the victim told them that led to the driver “pulling a gun out and firing a round into the air and the pointing it at the victim.”
Police collected evidence at the scene and were attempting to get more information about the driver from Doordash. No arrest has been announced.
We’ve asked the company for more information about the incident.

That is too bad. I’m not shocked though. Lots of angry people out here and no police in sight. So basically people do what they do with their guns when they have an angry customer.
It does make me think twice when I’m complaining about something. Maybe don’t use delivery services and just go get your meal?
Yes, especially if it’s something that has to be served piping hot (or ice cold) to be any good. I wouldn’t trust a delivery service for anything that isn’t perfectly edible lukewarm. Besides, there are lots of fast, healthy, tasty and reasonably priced takeout choices in this neighborhood and a little walk would do this person good, probably in more ways than one.
I think the first problem is that you seem to think that police prevent crime.
The second problem is the idea that there are “no police in sight”?? I see them all over CH… and yet they still don’t prevent crime!

Domino Death, I hope you tip real well,
Domino Death, you better watch for me,
And if you manage to survive, you get the pizza for free.”
