Shop the Hill, the long running effort from CHS, is partnering again with the GSBA and the Capitol Hill Business Alliance for the free service to help promote local retailers and small businesses and share updates on promotions, deals, and holiday offerings. Participating merchants and venues are complying with COVID-19 safety measures and many offer online ordering and curb pick-up. Check it out at capitolhillseattle.com/shopthehill/

WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 15TH

  • Club Comedy debut weekend: CHS reported here on the plans for the new 15th Ave E comedy venue from longtime Seattle scene presence Rick Taylor. Wednesday and Thursday bring preview nights when you are welcome to stop in to check out the space. Friday and Saturday the shows begin with debut headliner Showing results for cory michaelis Search instead for Cory Michaelis.
  • Godzilla: “The roaring granddaddy of all monster movies,” a 4K restoration of the 1954 Japanese classic screens at Northwest Film Forum

  • Rock n Roll Toy Drive: “Bring new toys to donate!” with Sustainable Shred as Beverly Crush, Who is She, Rat Queen, Elvis Batchild, and Justice Manslayer take the stage
  • DEFY Wrestling rocks Washington Hall as Eddie Kingston makes his Seattle debut

SUNDAY DECEMBER 19TH

  • Kwanzaa Market brings “clothing, books, art, beads, teas, plants and more” from local vendors to the Central District’s Wa Na Wari: Black Art Center
  • Compline Choir “in person, or via radio, internet radio stream, video livestream, or podcast” live from Capitol Hill’s St. Mark’s
