Why always this block?

Again, and again, and again, and again.

Gentrification and social inequality for years. Roots go back to early racist covenants.

For real, explain this. Rich people started moving in, so people are shooting each other? Don’t be snarky, I really don’t follow.

The gun violence from gangs in Seattle used to be less concentrated. As the CD has gentrified, the gun violence and gangs have less territory to fight over, right now it seems to be focused around 23rd Ave in the Union and Jackson area. Also, our local leader (looking at you Sawant) is largely absentee. Compounding this, the lack of police presence has emboldened criminals. It’s a little obtuse to say it’s because of gentrification but it has shaped it.

Thank you. Folks that have to ask why have a lot to educate themselves on. Although this thread doesn’t look like factual knowledge is winning out over superficial/biased narratives. Smh

Well aren’t you the smarty pants SoufEndr, shaming people for asking legitimate questions while at the same time putting down the forum we are all communicating on. Apparently we should all be ashamed we aren’t as woke and smart as you and not make any noise, but rather just defer to your wisdom. Thanks so much for setting us all straight!

By mentioning Liberty Bank and the black residents inside. Pretty obvious what he’s doing considering his posting history.

Sad… I thought 23 & Union was safer, I would never visit again 23 & Jackson at night after braving it once.
