• Gay bar threat: SPD say they are investigating a hate crime after a caller threatened a shooting at a Capitol Hill gay bar. According to police, the suspect called the venue just before midnight Saturday and asked if it was a gay bar. “Staff stated it was,” SPD reports. “The caller asked if it was busy tonight. Staff stated that it was. The caller stated that they would come by tonight and shoot up the bar and hung up.” SPD says officers responded to the Pike/Pine bar and “conducted premise checks throughout the night in the area of the establishment.” SPD is investigating the incident as malicious harassment under the state’s hate crime statute.
• Safeway carjacking: A late Saturday night carjacking in the parking lot of the Safeway at 22nd and Madison brought a large police response but no arrests. SPD says the victim was inside her Mazda CX-30 just before 11 PM when two suspects approached her carrying handguns and demanding the keys to the vehicle. Police searched for the stolen car but were not successful. Police say at least one of the carjackers covered their face with a black facemask.
• 7-Eleven break-in: Seattle Police were investigating a reported break-in at the temporarily shuttered E Madison 7-Eleven. According to East Precinct radio updates, police were called to the boarded-up store early Monday morning to a report that someone had removed a lock and entered the convenience shop over the weekend. No word yet on what if anything was taken. CHS reported here on the temporary closure of both Capitol Hill 7-Eleven locations as the franchise stores were converted to new ownership by the company.
• Woman missing after struck by driver: In a terrible incident off the Hill but with police looking for help, SPD says a woman is missing after being struck by a driver and then taken away from the scene in an incident in Pioneer Square Saturday morning, June 18th around 1 AM. SPD reports:
  Just before 1:00 a.m. on June 18th, witnesses saw the driver of a silver, Laramie Edition, Ram pickup truck run over a woman just east of the 1st Avenue South and South Washington Street intersection. The male driver initially fled the scene, but then returned a short time later. He picked up the woman he drove over, put her in the cab of the truck, and then drove away eastbound on South Washington Street.
  SPD says the truck did not have license plates but witness photos of the rear of the vehicle show a silver U-bolt attached to the hitch and what appeared to be a local area dealership license plate frame. • Volunteer Park gunfire: Police were unable to determine who was to blame for gunfire just east of Volunteer Park early Sunday morning. Police say three 911 callers reported hearing two gunshots around 5:30 AM. A witness told police they heard an argument before the gunfire followed by a vehicle leaving the area. Police found shell casings near the park but “no victim or property damage were located.”
