E Pike robbery suspect: Seattle Police is asking for help tracking down a man they say tried to rob an E Pike smoke shop at kitchen knifepoint in early November:
On November 4th at about 3:20 p.m., police were called to a shop in the 600 block of East Pike Street for an armed robbery. The suspect attempted to buy cigarettes, but when his two credit cards were declined, he pulled out a large kitchen knife and demanded the employee hand over the money in the cash register. The employee ran out of the store and called for help, and the would-be robber fled the scene with nothing but his kitchen knife.
SPD says the suspect in the Pike Tobacco hold-up was described as around six feet tall, average build, wearing a white baseball cap, black/white jacket with a hood, blue jeans, and black shoes. SPD is asking you to email the department at [email protected] if you can help identify the man in the photos. - E Loretta Place gunfire: SPD says it responded to a report of gunfire early Sunday morning on E Loretta Pl but there were no victims. According to police, officers were called to the street around 2:30 AM Sunday to the reported gunshots and found evidence of a shooting at the scene. There were no reported injuries and no arrests.

“Needs public help” must be SPD’s favorite shelf. What a joke.
Not a fan of SPD but I have to ask, how do you think police investigations are done?
Clearly, they are not done.
