The Friends of Madison Park neighborhood association is exploring possible improvements of Madison Park Beach and upgrades of the facilities, in partnership with the Seattle Parks Dept. But we need to hear from you!
The City of Seattle cannot help us until we complete a public survey. If you love coming to the Madison Park Beach, please take the 6 question survey linked from our website: friendsofmadisonpark.com/
The survey is short but essential for us to know why you love the beach and what improvements you would like to see with the facilities and the park.
We are looking for people from all over the city to give us their input.
Thank you!

Sure would be nice if there was a protected bike route on Madison Ave, where there is tons of room, to get there!
The Madison Ave. that’s now down to 1 lane of vehicle traffic for most of the length now that the new bus-only lanes are opening?
I’d assume Lisa is only talking about the part of Madison Ave between the Arboretum and Madison Park. That’s the piece that has tons of room for a protected bike lane (and has Broadmoor blocking the north side and steep hills if you try to go south of Madison Ave through Washington Park). I agree with Lisa that a protected bike lane between Madison Valley and Madison Park Beach is a good idea.
Down to one lane some places… except for the much needed connection to Madison Park, because really it would be much to easy for the riffraff to come in if you could just take one bus the length of Madison.
