2401 E Howell St
Homer Harris Community Emergency HUB presents a day of ridiculous art, family fun, and zooming vegetables:
– Decorate a zucchini (or squash or gourd or pumpkin)
– Put wheels on it (toy trucks from a thrift store work great)
– Race it down our wooden ramp to fame and glory!
The Great Zucchini Races are part of a family-friendly plot to build community and publicize the efforts of Homer Harris Community Emergency HUB. Emergency Hubs are places to get or give help in case of an earthquake or other disaster. Neighbors exchange information and resources, problem solve with one another, and communicate with the city and with other hubs. HOMER HARRIS HUB is anchored in Homer Harris Park. A map of other Seattle Hubs can be found at seattleemergencyhubs.org
See you at the races!
