Seattle co-working company The Riveter and film director Elizabeth Schiffler are partnering to host leaders in food and media for a unique night of conversation, Women Who Eat: Food, Film, & Feminism.
Attendees will hear from a panel of leaders in food and media as they respond to significant cinematic moments of women and food, and discuss the implications of seeing women cook and eat on screen. Attendees will also receive a lesson from local food duo Dak & Ju on how to make a delicious champagne cocktail – with the drink included in the ticket price.
Panelists at Women Who Eat are expected to include:
- Chelsea Lin: Food and Lifestyle Editor for Seattle Magazine
- Sarah Porkalob: Actor, activist, storyteller, and star of the short film Champagne
- Julia Prud’Homme: Actor and food lover who is the grandniece of Julia Child
- Rachel Yang: Chef, entrepreneur, and owner-operator of restaurants Joule, Revel, and Trove
