Momo’s Kebab and El Chapulin Oaxaqueno part of Tequila Lab food truck court taking shape on E Madison

It’s a long way from Portland’s famed lots but a food truck court on Capitol Hill is finally starting to roll.

Over the weekend, a trailer from Momo’s Kebab made its debut in the E Madison court behind the Black Rock Spirits headquarters and Tequila Lab events space.

CHS reported earlier this year on the spirit maker’s return to Capitol Hill and overhaul of the former art studio and one-time drive-thru dry cleaners into a new office and event space for the creators of the Sparkle Donkey tequila brand.

Black Rock included space for food trucks and trailers with hopes of becoming part of Pike/Pine’s weekend late night eats scene. A variety of trucks and trailers pops up around E Pike on the weekends and summer nights along with the neighborhood’s robust hot dog stand economy. Continue reading
