Election night - where to go?

I can't bear the thought of sitting home alone watching the election returns. Where will the like-minded Hill people be watching? Is there a really great bar with a huge TV? What do you recommend?

A Really Huge TV
Hi Alice, this is a bit of shameless self promotion but we will be having the election returns on the 18 foot screen and either toasting or crying in our beers at the cinema.

Stranger party
Not on the Hill but tere's a Stranger event at the showbox that will likely attract a lot of the Hill young'uns:

RE: Stranger party
Yeah, though I can't pass for a young'un anymore, that's likely where I'll be. I mean, Dan Savage will be there!

"Toasting or crying" is a good line though; maybe the cinema's worth a look . . .

OMG we'll be there, too! We'll look for you in the crowd! (I'll probably be crying, regardless of the outcome.)

RE: Stranger party
That's brilliant: I said the same thing to Emily last night (crying either way).

There's a chance we'll wimp out & just go to Neumos instead (or who knows, maybe both!), but we'll look for you if we make it to the Showbox!

Election Party at Neumos
We're having a big-screen election party at Neumos and Moe Bar. It's put on by us, Good Magazine and the People for Chris Gregiore, and it's free, we want our Hill neighbors to come celebrate a happy outcome (We hope!). Don't you dare think about coming before you vote! 3 pm doors for Moe Bar and 5 pm for Neumos.

I also recommend the main democratic party (was at the Westin in 04)...interesting people watching although as the night went on it devolved into mostly just middle aged women crying, consoled by their husbands.

Yep! We're hosting a party at The BottleNeck too
Just throwing our hat in the party ring! We won't have any local celebs on hand(well, a certain KEXP DJ did stop by during the debates, so who knows, really) but we will have free Obama shortbread cookies from Little Rae's Bakery for all those who vote. No Cover, doors at 4 PM, flat screen TV, Elysian Night Owl Pumpkin Ale on draft and like-minded folks. Please join us.
