When my son left sunny Arizona to study Naturopathic medicine at Bastyr, I started a handmade gift to keep him warm (on the inside and the outside) through the cold Seattle days. A million tiny stitches, and the sweater turned out pretty good for an amateur. The package was stolen from an apartment building on Capitol Hill.
Whoever is wearing this unique sweater — smile and wave so all your Capitol Hill neighbors can recognize a thief.
Sad. Where (generally) is the apartment building located so we can focus our sweater lookout?
…and my eyes is peeled. Stupid sweater stealin’ stinkers.
Not the stealing (that I know of), but the leaving the packages thing. I’ve gone down to check my mail and seen a variety of packages, some unidentifiable, some whose contents are obvious (LPs, mostly). Am I curious what one of my neighbors has had shipped from Tokyo? Sure. And I bet some of my less scrupulous neighbors are too…
When I see a package by our buildings mailbox, I make the effort to bring them to the tenants front door. I think it’s the “guests” of other neighbors who steal these things…
Thanks for the sympathies. The sweater was stolen from a building on 14th Avenue between Thomas and Pike. Take care that your special holiday gifts don’t end up in the wrong hands.
