No more Pine Street Zigzag – work to complete a sidewalk on the north side of Pine Street over I-5, which began a couple of months ago, is now complete. Capitol Hill commuters who walk to work downtown and those catching a bus at Convention Place will have a much easier time of it.
This is stellar, kudos to the city for finally fixing this.
The I-5 noise means this walk will never be very enjoyable. I dream of lids over Interstate Valley here, at least on the east and west triangles of Pine/Boren.
Does anyone know what the expected lifetime of these overpasses are? A lot of similarly-aged highway overpasses are at end-of-life throughout the country.
This is great and has made my walk much more enjoyable. The only thing they need to do now is put in a walk/don’t walk sign!
