Nova high school student missing — UPDATE

UPDATE 7/23/09 3:30 PM: Alex has been found in Portland and is in communication with family. No other information was available.

Alex (Amber) Witherspoon left her parent’s home sometime between 2:00 am and 8:30 am on Sunday and has not been heard from.  Amber left without her phone and ID.  She was last seen at the Tukwilla Light Rail station.

Just want you to know I’ll get this on our homepage as soon as I can confirm the case # with SPD. Sorry for the delay but it’s a busy night at East Precinct.

FYI, CHS policy is to only report on missing persons when there is a police report filed.

I also spoke with the girl’s parents before approving this for the homepage.
