
- The owner of West Seattle‘s famed Phoenicia on Alki restaurant dies unexpectedly. The restaurant will be closed until further notice.
- The South Lake Union Streetcar is getting a new plaza at its Southern terminus. The official name will be the “McGraw Square Street Car Plaza” but SLUT Square also has a nice ring to it.
- Seattle Housing Authority breaks ground today on Tamarack Place, just North of the Columbia City Light Rail Station. The project received over $7 million in federal stimulus funds.
- Kirkland‘s Melissa D’Arabian won Season 5 of The Next Food Network Star. She will now start her own show called Ten Dollar Dinners.
- Efforts are underway for a street mural on Stone Ave, just East of Aurora. Artists needed.
