If like us, you have long lamented the lack of a functional website for 22 Doors, we all may finally be getting our wish. CHS spotted this Craigslist posting advertising a Hobart mixer for sale ($1400) at 22 Doors: “We are selling it simply because we have no use for it and we would like to pay for our new lounge website.”
They should spend some of the cash to bring back the booths!
I used to love going there, now It feels like I’m eating in a cafe in some weird dystopian future. :)
Seems to me that the “remodeled” 22doors suffered exactly the same fate as Artemis Cafe/The Outlook: redone to be more of a bar, atmosphere more targeted at younger people, music turned up, menu less interesting. I’m sad to have scrapped both off the list of places we like and can walk to.
Is the conclusion that it’s too hard to make money on (moderately) ambitious food?
Especially ones required by small, neighborhood bistros…for that matter, they could get away with a blogsite…all they need is some pictures, a map, a menu and some basic info.
It’s not rocket science.
