Round 2 of free seminars for Capitol Hill businesses in April and May — including Twitter

Visible construction of the transit station is underway on Broadway and Sound Transit wants to help small businesses all over the hill  thrive despite the inconvenience and interruption.  Like last year,  the Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce and Sound Transit have teamed up to offer a series of professionally run small business seminars, free of charge. All seminars will be held on weekdays on the Seattle Central Community College campus.

Like last year, the seminars are focused on retail management and restaurant management, plus a  new topic: marketing your business using social media (Twitter, Facebook, etc.)  The retailing series includes seminars on merchandising, selling, and understanding their customers. The restaurant series includes seminars on controlling costs, building a brand on the Internet, and industry best practices.

For more details including the topics, descriptions, and dates view the the colorful PDF flyer, attached.  If you have questions or want to register, contact Jennifer Lemus, Community Outreach Specialist with Sound Transit  at 206.398.5314 or [email protected].

I can think of a quite a few Capitol Hill businesses that don’t need lessons on using Twitter.  I sure would love a piece of pie, or hemp ice cream, or a cupcake, and gosh the early bird special sure sounds good. And yes,  my haircut from that salon IS looking fi-i-i-ine.
