Hill Tunes: Grynch, Mono, Jason Clackley LP release, and more

•  Thursday, May 6, 8PM: Jesse Canterbury’s Vertigo @ Gallery 1412: Seattle clarinetist Jesse Canterbury and his all-acoustic ensemble play a mix of chamber music inspired by clarinetists Louis Sclavis and Michael Moore. $5-15; all ages

•  Thursday, May 6, 8PM:  Grynch, D.Black, SOL, Vitamin D @ Neumos:  “Dollar Bill Y’all!”  See some of Seattle’s best hip-hop artists including Grynch and D.Black for a mere dollar.  Show up early–the show will likely be packed at that price!  Doors at 8PM, $1, 21+.

•  Friday, May 7, 9:30PM:  Eric Claesson and the Scowlers, BC Cambell @ Piecora’s Back Room:  Come hear the gypsy-folk Americana of local band Eric Claesson and the Scowlers, and the alternative acoustic rock of BC Campbell.  Cover is $6; all-ages, bar w/ID.

•  Saturday, May 8, 7PM:  Jason Clackley LP release party @ Porchlight Coffee (btw Pike and Pine on 14th):  Clackley, known for his freestyle indie rock music, will be celebrating the drop of his latest LP.  Local artists Mega Bog and Like Claws will be opening.

•  Monday, May 10, 8PM: Jim Knodle’s New Bass Trio @ Gallery 1412:  An upbeat musical ensemble featuring Michael Vlatkovitch on trombone, Jim Knodle on trumpet, and Greg Campbell on french horn/percussion. $5-15; all ages.

•  Tuesday, May 11, 8PM: Mono @ Neumos:  The internationally-acclaimed sensation Mono will be gracing Neumos with their poignant post rock music.  This is not to be missed!  $13.50, 21+.
