It’s time to scramble for everybody with a good idea for a costume who hasn’t had time to put the pieces together. While many will go the Brocklind’s route, the Village lets you do a little more digging for one-of-a-kind weirdness. Thursday afternoon at 3 PM, you can find further inspiration as VV hosts a Halloween costume fashion show. It’s Value Village, so don’t get that excited but here’s the blurb:
Every Thursday at 3 p.m. throughout October, every Value Village store (including the Capitol Hill store) is hosting “Halloween Costume Catwalk” fashion shows. The shows are free to the public, and every one is different, as they’re styled by each store’s Costume Consultant to show that week’s hottest looks.
Value Village says their costume consultant “is trained to help customers put together the perfect Halloween costume to match their budget.” Head in and find out what $2 is going to get you.
Later Thursday night, Neumos is hosting the free Black Light Black Out Halloween Dance Party. Promising costume contests, freak dancing and weird games, it should be excellent times. In fact, we hear the VV costume consultant says do Halloween tonight and leave the weekend to the amateurs.
Finally, one look-ahead holiday bonus item for Friday for the little ones. The Miller Fall Carnival will have games and activities for kids 10 and under. It’s free but game tickets will cost $0.25 which we know cuts into your costume budget.
Miller Fall Carnival
FRI Party for ages 10 and younger, 6 p.m. Friday, Miller Community Center, 330 19th Ave. E., Seattle
We’ll add these and more to the CHS Halloween 2010 guide and trick-or-treat candy forecast map post.
