Here are some posts about the Capitol Hill Food scene that I’ve found interesting:
- Mark Bittman, famed food writer and columnist for the New York Times, lectured at the University of Washington yesterday and dropped by Oddfellows for lunch yesterday
- Besides being a champion restauranteur and noodle maker, Spinasse’s Justin Neidermeyer is skilled at providing wine-to-go
- Olympia Pizza and Pasta gets a shout out
- Food & Wine interviewed Ethan Stowell regarding the upcoming opening of Anchovies & Olives (via Devouring sEATtle)
- Nancy Leson thinks Obama would enjoy eating at Kingfish Cafe when he comes to town
- Licorous is offering a mid-week happy hour Tuesday thru Thursday from 5 to 7 and 10 to 12 AM (find out where big sis restaurant Lark gets some of their nonlocal product)
- Artemis is participating in the New Urban Eats promotion this month (3 courses for $30)
Thanks, Seadevi. (Five stars? Sure.)
Bittman is great. If you (like me) thought (“U District? too far!”) last night, you can always listen to his great sit-down with Steve Scher on Weekday.
Happy to see the nice post about Olympia Pizza. No gimmicks.
So, question for you – why do your posts keep getting tagged to Lake Union? trying to tell us something? posting from kayak?
I have no idea why this is happening. I’ve been typing 98102 but when it asks me to specify the neighborhood, I say “All of the Hill” . . .
Awesome foodie post. I hope you do this regularly. And you just hooked me up with some terrific food blogs. Thanks! (Took the kids to Oddfellows. We all loved it, but small portions and $100 to feed the family. Ouch.)
