The push to approve R-74 and pave the way for marriage equality in Washington took to the streets of Capitol Hill Saturday as a crowd of around 300 people rallied and then marched downtown to show support for gay marriage. The event was organized by Social Outreach Seattle, a new group dedicated bringing communities together to work for social progress.

Meanwhile, for R74 support of a pop-ier variety, word is that Capitol Hill homeboy Macklemore is performing in a “secret” show Sunday night at Neumos on the eve of the release of his new album, The Heist.

Macklemore, who has made his upbringing in Seattle and his gay uncles part of music, released this tear-jerking Same Love video earlier this month.
