Poppy is a two-and-a-half-year-old rescue, found wandering the streets of Yakima as a puppy and rescued by the Seattle Humane Society. As a young, feral street dog, Poppy scared her rescuers with her aggressiveness but now she’s loved and spends her days wandering 12th Ave near Cal Anderson with her human, Olan. Poppy still isn’t a fan of her house cat roommate, Chloe.
We ask photographer Alex Garland to follow marchers in the rain and do crazy things like trying to make yet another picture of yet another huge apartment building look interesting. We thought we’d ask him to do something a little more fun. Capitol Hill Pets is a semi-regular look at our furry, fuzzy, feathered, and finned friends found out and about on Capitol Hill.
We know the little cutey well. She lives in the same building as the office to Mystic Kombucha me we have been hard core crushing on her from day one. In person she’s is even cuter and easily the cutest lady on the hill.
Oooh, I love her! It’s hard to imagine her aggressiveness scaring anyone but I guess I shouldn’t judge a book by it’s (ADORABLE) cover. Glad she is happy and has a good home now.
Btw “Olan” is actually “Olin”…..love Poppy!!! She’s a hardcore cutie with amazing owners (Patricia and Olin)!! I’m so glad they saved her!!!
