Volunteer Park and the Volunteer Park Conservatory were done up in seasonal finery Thursday night for the annual Holiday in the Park event with music, hot chocolate, and cookies. The conservatory’s holiday model train will keep running through December every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
This weekend will bring some good opportunities for the gift giving season to Capitol Hill as the Punk Rock Flea Market hosts its December edition at 15th Ave E’s Quality Flea Center:

The train at the conservatory is so cool! Last time I saw it, it had little puffs of smoke, a whistle and several little train station stops. Also, conservatory Santa is way better than drunk mall Santa! Thanks for the heads up!
