CHS has been giving love to Capitol Hill’s Twice Sold Tales for years. We celebrated its 35th year of serving Capitol Hill book lovers here a few years back.
Owner Jamie Lutton and her Harvard Ave shop got some more love earlier this month with some attention from a social media tastemaker. Derek Guy — the @dieworkwear fella who has gained a wide following puncturing the tasteless shells of some of the worst people on the planet by sartorial examination — called out Lutton and Twice Sold in a recent post.
“I’ve found the perfect Instagram account. Seattle’s Twice Sold Tales owner Jamie recommends books and shows her cats. That’s it,” Guy wrote.
While he sells Lutton and the @twicesoldtales account a little short, Guy is correct that it is a good follow. Lutton also mixes in reading recommendations and some color about her business here and there.
But what Guy and Lutton’s other followers don’t know is the bookseller saves some of her best notes about the neighborhood for CHS. We cherish every tip and story idea from Lutton over the years — even the ones we’ll probably never get to.
Twice Sold Tales is located at 1833 Harvard Ave. You can learn more atย twicesoldtales.com.
